You've made your Yahoo! Avatar, what next?
You download it!
  1. From your avatar home tab (http://avatars.yahoo.com/) look on the right for a box with "Export: Use your avatar in web pages, blogs, and more"
  2. Ignore the drop down menus and click the link on the right that says "Did you know? You can also download your avatar to use in web pages, email, mobile phones, and instant messages." The word 'download' is a link -- click on it.
  3. Yahoo Avatar ScreenshotYou should get a page (see right) that offers you a choice between a Large Avatar and a small one that is just your head. Pick one and click the "Download" button next to it. I recommend choosing .JPG because it will be usable in more places.
  4. In the box that pops up, select "Save file" and the program will save it to your desktop (unless you've changed the default).
  5. Go to your wiki "My Profile" area
  6. Click the “Add Image” button in the middle box (it may say "Edit Image" if you have already uploaded one)
  7. Select button next to “On my computer…
  8. Click “Browse...
  9. Select picture from desktop
  10. Click “Open” button
  11. Click “Add Image
You will be able to use this avatar anywhere you can upload an image: Webpages, blogs, e-mail, your cellphone wallpaper, or for instant messaging.
