I used Overdrive for the first time. I found it easy to search, download and play the book Beautiful Mind. I will definitely download to my ipod or burn to CD in the future.

This was a bit more difficult than I thought. We do not have Overdrive or Netlibrary,so it required a little more work on my part. I think it would be a good idea that our library subscribe to overdive and that would make things easier. Of course everything depends on budget dollars. Very useful.

I received a temporary card from the state library in order to download books directly from OverDrive. I tried downloading the Romeo and Juliet pdf ebook.
The interface was quite simple. I actually was surprised I liked it considering that I am so in love with books in print.
A jobber representative tried to persuade me to purchase ebooks for our school library last year, but I didn't take the plunge. Considering how simple this was, I may reconsider trying a few to see how it goes over. I think this might be more useful at the middle and high school levels, where children are often assigned reading to do at home and book resources are scarce.

I downloaded iTunes and from there downloaded a song to the iPod. I was not able to download an eBook because i didnt have access to this type of media.

Yes! Technology is our friend. I downloaded some music I had been thinking of purchasing based on reviews and discovered it wasn't something I really enjoyed.

The library I used was the MCC Paul A. Elsner. They have NetLibrary available for onsite use. This has been a close and encouraging place to access information for my homework or for general knowledge. I especially like the e-books here because of the ability to color code my word searches. This enables me to go back and have the same words still colored to quickly access my information for future use.

This was very short and concise for the speech of a President. The choice of language was simple and plain yet descriptive. The e-book ended with a good thought and a prayer for the whole country. Since the language was lower case except some words for emphasis I was able to use colors on the words to make them stand out.

I used OverDrive, and downloaded The Great Gatsby. I was really pleased at how easy OverDrive was to use; my first pick they didn't have in an audiobook, but they had the full e-book of it. It's a really neat site to find books quickly, and easily accessible. As for the interface, I think I still love having a book in front of me, and always will, but I greatly admire and appreciate the opening of books to the web. I think it's making it a lot easier to find them.

Had to dload the adobe reader and set that up. Not too hard. Dloaded Neverwhere by Neil (humble genius) Gaiman. Probably will just check out the paper edition when I want to read it. Perhaps if i had a laptop it would be better. I'd love to get the audio version though as his narrations are always a treat.

I helped a co-worker download an Overdrive book, and it seemed really easy, so I went home to try it myself. I was surprised to find that most of the MP3 formats(the ones compatible with my player) could only be downloaded by one person at a time. Downloading from home is still convenient, but it never occurred to me that a digital download could be checked out and unavailable.
Anyway, downloading an MP3 was easy, like buying from Amazon. Then I had to download Overdrive media and install it. It took me a while to realize that it didn't automatically install it, or prompt me to install it when I tried to open my audio book. Fortunately, after that, it got easier. I just downloaded the audio book, and dragged and dropped it into my MP3 player. The MP3 player didn't seem to read it, despite the fact that it's supposed to be compatible. Could be that I'm still trying to figure the MP3 player out. Anyway, the book plays on my computer, so I can listen to it. Maybe I'll figure out the MP3 player with a little more time.

I did it! I used Over Drive and downloaded part one of Absolute Pi. It was so much easier than I thought that it would be. I like the interface. It leads you right through what you need to do.

Sometimes you have to be smarter than the software and sometimes I don't qualify. I finally got Overdrive to work and successfully downloaded 2 books. I even got them burned to CD. Yippee!!! Now I'm listening and really enjoying them. For those who like obsure history I recommend, "That's not in my American history book." by Thomas Ayres.
