http://www.youtube.com. I watched two videos created by Pima County Library, Vampire Kisses and Cirque Du Freak. They were done very well. I have had some experience with You Tube. Our Teen Group assisted me in submitting a video clip and a slide show as part of a contest for a free trip to the Small and Rural Library Conference in Sacramento. We also won! It was my first experience with you Tube and video sharing. I really enjoyed it.

I watched a teen take on the novel Vampire Kiss. Very cool! I never thought of video sharing as a useful library tool, but now my perspective has changed. There really are some talented people out there.

Video Sharing is really cool, especially when i go on youtube and watch other people play guitar. By watching them I learn different techniques they use for how they play the song, and even some have tabs(music sheets that have numbers instead of notes) to show how he is playing the song. There is so much out there! I was familiar with YouTube but I never really took the time to go through and search. I was surprised when I typed in my city and state and found quite a few videos. This would be very easily used as a promotional skill for rural library areas.

I really enjoyed watching the YouTube movie trailers. The last one I watched was about Twilight. With all of the hype, I wanted to see what the kids did with the story. I can understand the appeal.

I haven't explored YouTube much, but I know that many teens spend lots of time on the site. Even some elementary school-aged children go to YouTube when on the Internet. I, myself, do not use surf there very often, but through this course, I see that there are plenty of useful and entertaining pieces.
I would like to embed some of the more educational and library-oriented material onto my school library site. I may even venture to make my own! I know that the students really enjoy the product!

I love Cedar Lee, the artist in the above link. I'm subscribed to her YouTube space. Where to start with what I've found browsing around in the past? There is everything from 1930s movie trailers to informative 'how-to's' to musical performances to anything. I found a short film by a Chinese independent filmmaker that I wouldn't have seen anywhere else. In short, I love YouTube (:

I watched the Baker's Dozen film and a couple of "That's my take". Like everything else, some are good, some not so much. Would be a great marketing tool for the teens. Now all we need is a vidcam.

Well, that was fun!
I watched a selection of the PCPL videos on YouTube, and then went to the TeenZone, and watched some more. What a lot of talented teens there are out there!
I then did searches in a few personal areas of interest on YouTube--yoga, gardening, etc. Once again I was struck by how much is out there for every possible interest group.
Since we are supposed to have fun, I have to share the link to a couple of fun videos I found; Karate Baby, http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=f3ZWi2jC-dE and, Zombies Doing Yoga, http://YouTube.co/watch?v=KsV1ShKtAcE. I also plan to share them with my Facebook friends.
