I was amazed at how easy this is. I posted a slide display and video on YouTube for our teen program. Then I went out to Seattle Public Library podcast. This was great because it was for teens by teens. http://www.spl.org/Audio/podcasts/podcast.spl_teen_feed.xml. This is an amazing site for teenagers to communicate to each other through. You learn something new every day.

I listened to podcast The Nature Connection, which featured author Trefoni M. Rizzi who wrote Teddy's Travels - America's National Parks. He talked about climate change and how it is affecting America's national parks. I will definitely check out Podcast.com in the future. The site was easy to navigate.

Great to know there are so many podcasts available for educational information. I even found a military library that has historical podcasts on Podcastalley.com.

This seems like a really good resource for many different things. I listened to http://chinesepod.com and realized I will not be learning Mandarin quickly. But it is nice to know it is out there.
I was happy to learn that there are many educational podcasts available.
I also listend to the rap which was clever. http://pimacountypubliclibrary.podbean.com/2008/09/05/bakers-dozen-rap/
Then I discovered craftcast http://www.podbean.com/podcast-detail?pid=20207 at Podbean and listened to one of those. There were a variety of options there and knitters might want to check it out too.

Finally I found the perfect template from which to build my elementary school library student podcasts. The music and student scripts are very lively and engaging. The segments are brief and fun; they also have hip names that kids would love to be a part of. I can't wait to model my student podcasts after these.
I didn't find this using the directory, but did a Google search. There are some other results I'd like to listen to, but that will come later. Hopefully, I'll be posting a link to my students' podcasts soon. We've been doing book reviews and the students are in the process of recording their notes. I'm hoping by the end of this year, they'll be a few ready for posting.
Listen here to Branson's examples: http://www.branson.k12.mo.us/elementary/podcast/. Unfortunately, there aren't any podcasts listed for 2008, and the website looks a little warped, so I'm not sure how long this site will be available. If you work with elementary-aged children, one podcast is worth your time. :)

I watched a library podcast featuring a topic discussion between the Dowling College Library and its community. It was very informative.
I really like Podcasts; I've been a fan of them for about a year now. Whenever I miss an episode of my favorite TV shows, I go straight to the TV network podcasts of them. They have far less commercials, and are just fun to watch on the computer for a change.

This is cool. My husband has had a program called Growing Native with Petey Mesquitey, on KXCI Community Radio for many years. A few years ago the station began podcasting it. I went to podcastalley.com and, just for fun, typed in the name of his show, and there it was! I went to http.//publicbroadcasting.net/kcxi/podcasts/663.xml and it took me right to the KXCI website, and his latest show.
Then, to broaden my horizons, I went to another podcast site (http://www.morehipthanhippie.com/rss) and listened to a podcast, which was actually kind of annoying, but I did get an idea of how much is out there on every subject imaginable, and how easy it would be to subscribe to ones of interest, and have them download onto my iTunes.

I tried http://music.mobile.podcast.com and http://television.mobile.podcast.com. I throughly enjoyed the jazz "Love Supreme" program Philadelphia vs. Detroit discussion. I have used Podcast before for professional development in curriculum training for teachers working with K-12 students. It is terrific!
