Why I joined the Baker's Dozen learning program: I got this email from our Director and took a look at the website. It looked interesting and since I'm interested in computers and social networking I decided to join.
What I want to get out of the program: How to use Web 2.0 tools and integrate it into everyday library life.
Where I work (include library name and city): Lake Havasu City Branch Library, Lake Havasu City AZ
What I do for my library: I am a library assistant. I order AV materials for the library- audiobooks, dvds, music. I'm also the liaison for the Talking Book Library in Phoenix.
Favorite book or author: Tolkien but any book that can hold my interest. I do like thrillers and suspense novels.
What else you should know about me: I emigrated 8 years ago from the Caribbean. I had been working in libraries there for about 11 years so it was a natural to gravitate towards libraries here.
