Hello, my name is Audrey J. Scarborough Please tell us about yourself... I am a Law Library Assistant for Phoenix School of Law in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a native to Arizona, residing with my husband Ishmael and our 17 month old daughter, Madilyn. In my spare time I enjoy reading classic literature and memoirs. Occasionally I even find time to write creatively... poetry, short stories, and someday hopefully a full length novel. I would like to start an MLIS program next fall. I recently graduated from ASU with my B.A. in English and promised my husband I would take a year off before pursuing my Masters so that he could concentrate on his studies. I love working in libraries and look forward to a lifelong career of learning and helping others keep learning as well. Why I joined the Baker's Dozen learning program: I am young and somewhat internet/computer savvy by default of my generation, but I am always the first to admit that there is room to grow. I joined the program because I felt it a tremendous opportunity to learn more about Library 2.0 (Web 2.0) possibilities, which I will be transferring to my home library as we develop. I work for a fairly young library, which is exciting to be apart of something that has plenty of room for innovation and growth. What I want to get out of the program: I would like to learn new programs and hopefully new aspects and capabilities of programs I am already familiar with. Where I work: Phoenix School of Law What I do for my library: I'm a library assistant, which is vague, I know. I am responsible for Interlibrary Loan, looseleafing law reports, keeping statistics for the help desk and study room usage, creating signage and displays, and general stacks maintenance. Favorite book or author: Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen What else you should know about me: I am excited to be participating in this learning program!
